NaVi Nuke Outside: Main Smoke Width and the Default Second-Beat Handoff

NaVi’s Nuke outside is a default-round ledger—first contact feeds info, the second beat decides whether the round moves inside. CT mutual holds vs. T slow squeeze, and three POV checks to copy the structure.

On Nuke’s outside, Natus Vincere rarely wins by “who holds the angriest angle.” Their default is closer to a ledger written into every round: first contact buys information and timing; the second beat decides whether the round can be handed to inside defaults without bleeding the whole formation.

CT outside: mutual chains and main smoke width

CTs seldom send one player glued to yellow window for a hero first kill. The common shape is a short mutual between silo and yellow: one player bites an angle that can re-chamber safely, the other leaves half a beat for a one-way read on main, and with an AWPer up, second space often yields the fast peek window so the rhythm becomes “listen the radius, then show.”

The first utility goal is usually not double-flash two players. It is a smoke that cuts the light band where main and T ramp overlap, so mutual vision only exists for a few seconds. If Ts wide-smoke main, NaVi more often trades one edge-hugging smoke for time than forces a full outside deathmatch. When outside collapses in review, the clip is often: smoke width missed the catwalk–main diagonal, second space already stepped up early, mutual windows got counter-cleared—that is a default handoff half a beat early, not “soft aim.”

T side: post-wide-smoke two-step occupancy and inside transfer

After the wide main smoke, who takes second contact on silo / hut matters more than the opening pick. First body collects info over kills, tops with a flash for blind spots; second body pre-angles before the smoke fades, forming a utility + space second beat. If CT still holds silo for beat two, NaVi will not force the full util line—they pivot to hut default or slow inside, especially on thin economy: silo mutual drops to listen radius + one counter-clear flash, and the round passes to under-silo / K-side CT defaults.

Copy the sequence: did the smoke buy slow pressure; did flashes serve second body window exits; is third body already posted connector / secret—not just coordinates.

Three alignment checks from your demos

From your own demo or POV, align three things: main smoke width是否 isolates T ramp from catwalk mutual; whether CT second space only takes trades after smoke is stable; whether T second contact is pre-set instead of five-man dry swing after full white. NaVi’s outside strength is that beat two still reports live count and writes the round into inside defaults. In matchmaking, if outside dies on one trade, check the ledger for second beat before you blame the guns.
