Introduction

The Weapon | Satellite is a spray-paint skin from the 2021 Train Collection, introduced with Operation Riptide. Its space motif and accessible rarity make it a standout for players who appreciate the Train theme with a sci-fi twist. In this guide, we'll inspect its wear, design, and value to help you decide if it's worth buying.

Wear and Float

With a float range of 0.0 to 0.5, the Satellite is available in conditions from Factory New to Well-Worn. Battle-Scarred is not possible. This means you can find clean examples or ones with moderate wear, but never heavily scratched. The spray-paint finish tends to show wear on edges and high points, so inspect carefully if you prefer a pristine look.

Design and Theme

The skin features stars and satellites scattered across the weapon, with a flavor text that reads "Send and receive," evoking orbital communication. The design is simple yet effective, using contrasting colors to make the space elements pop. It's a Valve original, so it fits seamlessly with the rest of the 2021 Train Collection.

Price and Value

As an Uncommon (blue) rarity skin, the Satellite is generally affordable, often costing less than higher-tier skins from the same collection. This makes it a great choice for completing a Train collection set or for everyday use. Prices vary by wear and StatTrak availability, so check C5GAME and Steam Market for current rates.

Is It Worth Buying?

If you're a fan of the Train collection or want a budget-friendly space-themed skin, the Satellite is a solid pick. Its limited wear range means you won't find extremely battered versions, and the design is distinctive without being flashy. For collectors, it's a must-have to complete the set; for others, it's a fun, affordable option.

Expert's Corner

"The Satellite is one of those skins that quietly does its job. It's not going to turn heads like a Dragon Lore, but it's consistent and fits the Train theme perfectly. I've seen many players overlook it because it's blue rarity, but that's exactly why it's a smart buy—you get a unique design without breaking the bank. Just be mindful of the wear; since it caps at 0.5, you might want to aim for Field-Tested or better to keep the details crisp."

Where to Buy

You can find the Satellite on C5GAME and the Steam Community Market. When browsing, filter by the 2021 Train Collection to avoid mixing it up with other Train-themed skins from different years. Always inspect the float and pattern in-game before purchasing.
