Introduction

If your loadout needs something that reads from across the map, In Living Color on the M4A4 is one of Snakebite’s loudest legendaries: neon slabs stacked with sketchy linework, not a clean factory wrap. It landed May 3, 2021 with the Snakebite Case during the Broken Fang cycle, credited to kadzor. Valve’s blurb is simple—custom fluorescent paint plus hand-drawn graphics—and the in-game line Fight for one, fight for all matches the name: color that feels alive, edges that look touched by hand.

Inspect-first shopping notes

Treat this skin like a poster, not a metal plate. Spin it in inspect and watch three things:

  1. Neon base — Does the fluorescent ground still punch under your usual map lighting, or is it already washing toward gray?
  2. Line art — Hand-drawn strokes carry the detail; higher wear softens edges and can make blocks feel mushy.
  3. Block integrity — You’re buying composition, not a uniform fade. Confirm the main color chunks sit where you want before you pay a premium for “clean float” alone.

Wear hits hard here. Low floats keep brightness and crisp outlines; mid and high wear muddy the fluorescent read and flatten contrast—fine if you want a beat-up aesthetic, rough if you paid for “neon.”

Wear tiers (practical)

  • Lower float band: Best if you care about glow and readable linework. Worth paying up only if inspect confirms sharp graphics.
  • Mid wear: Cheaper entry, but expect dimmer neon and softer edges—verify on inspect, not the listing thumbnail.
  • High wear (toward 0.79): Budget flex; treat fluorescence as a memory. Still legendary Snakebite drip, just quieter.

Where to buy

On C5GAME or the Steam Community Market, filter by wear tier, open the inspect link, and compare listings at similar float. Thumbnails lie on busy skins; two “same float” guns can look different depending on how wear eats the blocks.

Verdict

Buy if you want a Snakebite legendary that screams hand-made color and you’ll inspect before checkout—especially sub–mid wear for maximum pop.

Skip or go budget if you need a subtle rifle; this one is intentionally loud, and high wear removes the reason most people pick it.

Editor’s aside

kadzor’s work here isn’t industrial camo—it’s doodle energy with a traffic-cone palette. I’d rather slightly overpay for a float that keeps the lines readable than chase the absolute lowest number on a grayed-out copy. Snakebite legendaries age fine in collections; play value is mostly “does it still glow when you ADS?”—answer that in inspect, then haggle.
