weapon | Bone Grinder (internal: am_nuclear_skulls1_xm1014) sits in the Cache Collection as a Mil-Spec shotgun skin with Anodized Multicolored finish. After chrome plating, Valve layered semi-transparent nuclear skull and bone motifs on top—the metal base carries the shine, the bone pattern fades in and out depending on angle and lighting. From a distance it reads cool, industrial chrome; up close the skull and bone lines appear and vanish across the receiver.

Skin facts (for shopping)

| Item | Detail |
|------|--------|
| Display | weapon \| Bone Grinder |
| Rarity | Mil-Spec |
| Finish | Anodized Multicolored |
| Wear range | 0.00–0.60 (hard cap 0.6) |
| Theme | Chrome + semi-transparent nuclear bone/skull overlay |

Because wear cannot go past 0.6, Battle-Scarred pieces look more worn within that band—chrome vs bone contrast shifts noticeably as float climbs. Do not buy on thumbnail alone.

What to check in inspect

Spin the model in Inspect:

1. Where the bone overlay lands on the body—pattern placement changes how “loud” the skull read is.
2. Chrome highlights cutting across bone lines—sometimes they pop, sometimes they flatten.
3. Float band: low wear keeps the industrial chrome read; budget builds can accept mid float, but expect stronger aging toward the top of the range.

Recognition comes from bright plated base + nuclear bone theme, not from flashy color blocks.

Shopping verdict

Buy if you want a Cache-era Mil-Spec with a chrome-first identity and secondary bone detail for inspect flex—not if you need a meta shotgun or a loud neon skin.

Display priority: lower wear for showroom chrome; value priority: slightly higher float still works if inspect confirms the bone lines you like.

Compare listings on C5GAME, C5, or Steam Community Market—always match price to the exact inspect and float you saw in game.

Editor’s notes

Mil-Spec XM1014 means this is collector / theme shopping, not performance hype. The 0.6 wear cap is the main trap: “BS” here is not the same story as skins that float to 0.8+. Souvenir Cache drops add sticker story for history nerds; for pure look, standard Cache supply is enough. I’d rather overpay slightly for a float that keeps the chrome clean than save a few cents on a muddy bone overlay—rotate inspect before you pay.
