If you’ve been sorting inventory after the Dreams & Nightmares Case drop, one skin tends to stop the scroll: black-purple base, a cat that reads like it walked off a star chart. weapon | Space Cat is that kind of “one glance, one theme” mythical—part of the Nightmares collection, custom hand-painted finish. Valve’s pitch is simple: custom paint on black and purple, space-art cat. The flavor line Claws of Creation leans fantasy and illustration, not tactical camo.

Drop & provenance

Live January 20, 2022 with the Dreams & Nightmares Case update. Unbox the case for a shot at it; collection tagging makes Nightmares set builds easy. Designer credit on Workshop: Maloo—community-sourced art, not a template recolor.

Specs that matter when buying

| Item | Detail |
|------|--------|
| Rarity | Mythical (strong unbox / showcase tier in the case) |
| Wear | 0.00 – 0.67 (Factory New through well-used band) |
| Look | Hand-painted edges and blocks—inspect the cat vs. purple-black ground, not the icon |

At 0.67 cap, high floats wash contrast; the cat silhouette and purple-black gradient shift a lot. Rotate in first-person at FN, MW, and FT before you commit.

Shopping take

Worth a dedicated inspect if: you’re filling Nightmares, want one anchor skin with stable rotation read, or like Workshop-backed fantasy Bizon skins.

Pause if: you need a clean “always sharp” look at every float—budget for lower wear or accept a softer cat on dark ground.

Where to compare: same float tier, side-by-side screenshots on C5GAME or Steam Community Market—thumbnail purple reads lie.

Expert notes

Space Cat wins on single focal art + fixed palette inside a mixed-style case—good display piece for a Nightmares page. Maloo’s name is a cheap rabbit hole for similar Workshop vibes. For value, mythical slot + recognizable theme usually beats anonymous restricted fills, but price still follows float and listing photos—always inspect.

Verdict: Strong “story skin” mythical for Bizon collectors—not mandatory meta, but high marks for theme clarity and set synergy.
