If your Anubis shelf is missing something that reads ceremony, not camo, Sobek's Bite is the loud option: huge gold fields slammed against deep black, closer to parade metal than tactical grey. The official line stays minimal—custom paint inspired by ancient Egyptian gold and black—but that's enough to spot the set in a cluttered inventory.

Flavor line on inspect: 祸水东引 (shift the heat elsewhere). Serious palette, slightly cheeky copy—nice contrast if you're building a cohesive Anubis mood board.

Shop take: inspect before you pay up

Gunsmith means the whole piece ages together—metal sheen, scratches, and base grime usually step up in sync as float rises. Don't buy off a thumbnail.

In inspect, check:

1. Gold panels — do you want mirror-bright low float or the darker, scuffed mid/high tiers?
2. Black base — how much "dirt" reads at your target float; gunsmith bases get noisy fast.
3. Pattern placement — compare a few listings; gold real estate differs and drives taste more than rarity alone.

Worth it?

• Yes, if you're finishing Anubis sets or you like full-interval skins where wear is the whole story. Side-by-side with other Anubis gunsmiths, the warm gold vs cooler siblings is the point.
• Maybe not, if you want a safe flip—mythical gunsmith Nova is niche; liquidity depends on wear listing quality.
• Budget path: souvenir roulette during the relevant Major Anubis capsules; stable float shopping on C5GAME or Steam Community Market with wear filters.

Expert mutterings

Released 2023-04-24—not new, but souvenir cycles keep supply twitchy around Majors. apel8's hand is recognizable if you've handled other Anubis gunsmith work: bold blocks, less micro-detail noise. For display, pair it with same-collection skins and match color temperature under the same lighting in inspect—gold reads warmer next to cooler Anubis blues and greens. If you're one float away from a personal cap, wait; this skin doesn't forgive "close enough" FN.

Verdict

Buy with a float target, not a vibe screenshot. Great Anubis anchor piece; skip blind high-tier premiums unless inspect proves the metal.
