Introduction

weapon | Aloha is one of the easier Mil-Spec faces to spot in the Clutch line: spray-painted blue hibiscus across the SG 553, capped at 0.55 float. Valve’s one-liner frames it as a “perfect partner” vibe—think vacation loadout, not operator grey.

Where it comes from

Shipped 14 Feb 2018 with the Welcome to the Clutch case drop. Primary path: Clutch Case opens. Skip the grind and you’ll find listings on Steam Community Market or C5GAME—filter by wear tier and actually scroll; pattern placement varies more than the thumbnail suggests.

Designer: Chemical Alia (Workshop + community credits line up). Their work tends toward bright sprays; Aloha leans beachy hibiscus instead of camo.

Wear & inspect checklist

Spray finish means wear peels, greys out, and dulls the hibiscus blocks—layout stays the same, saturation and crisp edges don’t.

| Tier | Shop take |
|------|-----------|
| FN / MW | Best bet if you want the flower read clean on body + handguard |
| FT / BS | Budget “still blue” option; expect mottling and base metal peeking |

In inspect: trace the hibiscus from receiver through the handguard—continuous big color fields beat a “pretty front, chewed rear.” Scratches that slice through a petal cluster hurt more than edge wear on black polymer.

Loadout pairing

Pairs naturally with other Clutch blues or any relaxed blue-themed inventory. The official “perfect partner” nudge is a hint for set collectors, not a stat boost.

Shopping verdict

Worth it if you want a cheap, readable tropical SG 553 and you’re willing to cherry-pick listings for pattern continuity. Pass or go lower wear if you hate grey spray or need a flex piece—Mil-Spec Clutch fills rarely justify hype pricing.

Editor’s aside

Internal id sp_sg533_aloha, Clutch Collection. I still open a few Clutch cases for nostalgia, but for Aloha specifically? Market/C5GAME with a max float in mind beats unboxing math every time. Don’t buy the first FN you see—two “Factory New” copies can look like different skins depending on where the flowers landed.
