Introduction
Sport gloves sit in the corner of your screen more than almost any skin. Every inspect, knife swap, and close-quarters peek puts them back in frame. Ultraviolet Frenzy is an ancient sport-glove finish built around UV-style energy—think cool purples and blues, high contrast, and a loadout that reads “neon room” rather than muddy brown leather.
If your knife or rifle already leans purple-blue, gloves in the same lane often clean up the kit better than adding yet another matching gun. They work as a loadout anchor, not filler.
Release & source
March 11, 2026 — shipped with the Dead Hand Skins update alongside the Destruction Hand terminal capsule. Listings and screenshots dated before that are noise; verify the drop when you’re buying or collecting.
Designer: Valve in-house. In-game and market strings use 紫外狂潮 (Ultraviolet Frenzy); stick to that name in search and trade chat.
Where it drops: Destruction Hand terminal only—part of the early Dead Hand Skins line. Don’t burn keys on unrelated pools hoping for a miracle.
Wear & what to look at in inspect
Wear runs 0.06–0.80. Float alone won’t tell the story: sport gloves lean on specular hits, knuckle panels, and where the gradient lands on back-of-hand, palm, and cuff.
Low vs high wear often diverges hard on back-of-hand “clean” areas, darkened edges, and how much leather grain shows through. Before you pay a premium, side-by-side a ~0.06 listing with a mid–high wear inspect—not just the hero screenshot.
Pattern placement beats a static thumbnail: rotate through inspect while mimicking hold, knife switch, and nade toss. Finger gaps and wrist cuff are what you actually see in a match; a pretty inventory angle can lie.
Shop verdict
Worth it if: you want an ancient sport glove that sets tone for a cold, saturated purple-blue stack, and you’re fine farming or paying the Destruction Hand route instead of random old cases.
Pause if: you need a subtle glove—this is loud—or you won’t inspect wear tiers and end up with cuff/finger placement you hate in first person.
Buy smart: on marketplaces (e.g. C5), filter by terminal source + wear bracket instead of a bare name search. Split conditions for FN-ish vs battle-scarred hunts.
Expert chatter
Ancient sport gloves are flex + cohesion tax: you’re paying for rarity and for closing the color story on knife and top. Ultraviolet Frenzy rewards players who treat in-game inspect like a try-on, not a JPEG. Two minutes of rotation beats one regretful float purchase.
