Introduction

The Weapon | Mint Fan is a Desert Eagle skin that brings a touch of traditional artistry to your loadout. Part of the Ascent Collection, this uncommon-grade skin features a spray-paint finish with a half-tone fan pattern in cool mint and earthy brown tones. If you're looking for a skin that's understated yet distinctive, this might be it. Let's dive into the details.

Release Date

This skin was released on March 31, 2025, as part of the Spring Forward Update. It entered the drop pool alongside the Ascent Collection, making it a fresh addition to the game.

Designer

Designed by Valve, this is an official creation, not a community workshop submission. It fits well with the other skins in the Ascent Collection, showcasing a consistent theme of color and halftone patterns.

Where to Get It

The Mint Fan belongs to the Ascent Collection. You can find it on the C5GAME or Steam Market, filtering by wear. If you're completing the Ascent set, decide whether you want a Factory New or Battle-Scarred piece first, then hunt for low float or mid-range wear.

Skin Characteristics

• Wear Range: 0.0 to 0.6, meaning it can drop in Factory New all the way to Battle-Scarred.
• Rarity: Uncommon, making it a relatively common drop within the Ascent line. It's great for filling out a collection or for daily use.
• Inspection Tips: Check the fan pattern for completeness and the contrast between mint and brown. As wear increases, the spray edges become rougher and the fan details may fade. Always inspect in-game by rotating the weapon, not just by looking at thumbnails.

Points of Interest

• Fan Placement: Rotate the weapon to see if the fan motif flows well across the slide and top.
• Color Palette: The muted mint and brown are easy to pair with both cool and warm map environments.
• Wear Choice: For display, aim for a low float (close to 0.0) to keep the halftone crisp. For everyday use, a mid-range float offers better value.
• Set Value: Plan alongside other Ascent skins. Compare with higher-rarity items on C5GAME to decide whether to complete the uncommon tier or chase a main color.

Expert's Corner

Let's clear something up: External guides often mix up display names and weapon models. For trading and collecting, always refer to the in-game "Weapon | Mint Fan" and its Ascent Collection classification.

After the Spring Forward update, supply has gradually stabilized. If you see price fluctuations, take a few days to compare listings. And remember the official italic note to avoid mislisting or renaming confusion.

Verdict

The Mint Fan is a solid choice if you want a Desert Eagle skin that's subtle and elegant. Its uncommon rarity makes it accessible, and the design is unique without being flashy. Whether you're a collector or just want a fresh look, it's worth considering. Just be mindful of wear and always inspect in-game.
