UMP-45 | Oscillator (Shake) — A Rare Snakebite Gem

The UMP-45 | Oscillator (also known as Shake in some regions) is a Rare-grade skin that joined CS2 with the Snakebite Weapon Case on May 3, 2021, as part of the The End of Broken Fang update. Designed by community artist Hatson_tm, it features a multicolor electroplated finish with a random pattern of orange, black, and gray.

Wear & Pattern: What to Inspect

Wear ranges from 0.00 to 0.50, so you'll find everything from Factory New to Battle-Scarred. Lower wear generally preserves the vibrant orange and black contrast, while higher wear fades the spray edges, making some color bands less distinct. Because the pattern is randomized, no two skins look exactly alike — the placement and proportion of color blocks vary. Always inspect in-game to see where the pattern lands on the body, handguard, and magazine.

Is It Worth Buying?

As a Rare skin, it's a common unbox and circulates frequently on C5GAME and the Steam Market. The random pattern means you can hunt for a template that suits your taste without breaking the bank. When negotiating, weigh pattern appeal equally with wear — a good-looking pattern on a slightly more worn skin can be a better deal than a low-float ugly one.

Verdict: If you want a budget-friendly SMG skin with character, the Oscillator is a solid pick. Just don't skip the inspection step.

Expert Ramblings

Everyone has limits. What's yours? That's the official tagline, and it fits: this skin's randomness is its charm. I've seen Oscillators with bold orange stripes that pop, and others where the gray dominates. Take your time on C5GAME — filter by wear, then eyeball the pattern. A little patience goes a long way.
