Shopping verdict

weapon | Soch (internal ID soch_mountains_limited_time) sits on the limited item track at mythical rarity, finished with hydrographic printing and a 0.0–0.7 wear band. It landed with the Spring Forward wave on 2025-03-31—the date to pin on your limited-collection timeline. You will not pull this from a regular case pool; supply usually ties to events, bundles, or platform drops, so Steam inventory history and the original announcement matter more than “which case.” For secondary market checks, search C5GAME by display name or internal ID and compare float, screenshots, and ask.

Worth buying? Treat it as a display-tier limited, not a wear-flip toy. The sell is the mountain terrain read: contour lines, elevation cues, and depth stretched across the shotgun’s curves—calm, map-like, built for “step back and read it,” not sticker chaos. Mythical placement makes it stand out on the same weapon line without screaming neon.

Wear & inspect

This skin lives or dies in float and inspect.

• Near 0.0, terrain lines and layer separation stay crisp; the “topo on steel” effect reads clean on stock, handguard, and receiver.
• As wear climbs, edges soften, contrast drops, and the map feel fades; some floats show large worn patches that break the contour story.

In-game, spin the view to handguard flats and stock bends—that is where continuity of the contour lines shows honesty. On C5GAME, match the seller’s angle to those spots: same light, same line density. Same skin name, very different “map” if the float is lazy.

Loadout notes

The official line fits the art: Solitude is a privilege, not a burden. Pairing-wise, the gun already carries enough information—skip full sticker stacks. If you must decorate, keep decals small and low-contrast, or run it clean and let wear do the talking.

Expert muttering

Limited means timestamp + source are part of the flex: March 2025, Spring Forward rhythm, limited route—not “I got lucky in a generic pool.” If you are filling a shelf of quiet skins, Soch is a one-sentence story (mountain terrain + that solitude tagline) that still rewards a proper inspect. If you only chase FN flex and ignore side-profile lines, you will overpay for a float that looked fine in a thumbnail.

Bottom line: Buy when the contour read matches your screenshot standard and the price reflects limited mythical display value, not hypothetical case odds you never had.
