Introduction

The Sawed-Off | Snake Camo (sp_snake) sits in the Dust II Collection as an Industrial Grade spray-paint finish. Wear runs 0.06–0.80, so what you see in inspect swings hard from almost clean to heavily beat-up.

Valve’s own description points at the important detail: only parts of the gun get the look—hand-drawn snake-skin stencil outlines, not a symmetric full wrap. In-game, that reads as chunky desert-camo blocks that fit the map’s dry, tactical mood more than flashy showroom skins.

What to check before you buy

Pattern: There’s no “perfect symmetry” chase here. Scroll the inspect and decide whether the stencil blocks land where you like them on the receiver and barrel.

Wear: At the low end (~0.06), contrast stays sharper; toward 0.8, the finish dulls and picks up that worn-field look. Lock a float band first, then hunt listings—not the other way around.

Price sanity: Line up the same wear tier on C5GAME and the Steam Community Market, and compare against inspect screenshots at that tier. Industrial Dust II pieces rarely justify overpaying for “almost FN” unless you’re finishing a display set.

Drop and souvenir context

Shipped November 27, 2013 with the Out with the old, in with the new update—one of the earlier Dust II lineup skins. Art is in-house Valve, not a Workshop submission.

You’ll see it from general Dust II Collection drops and from Dust II Souvenir packages tied to Majors, including Cologne 2014, DreamHack 2014, Katowice 2015, Cologne 2015, Cluj-Napoca 2015, Columbus 2016, Cologne 2016, Atlanta 2017, London 2018, Katowice 2019, and Berlin 2019. Collectors chasing a specific tournament sticker story can target the matching souvenir year; set fillers can lean on the broader collection pool.

Shop verdict

Worth it if you’re building a Dust II shelf, want cheap personality on the Sawed-Off, and you’re happy buying wear + pattern placement, not rarity hype.

Skip or go cheaper if you wanted a souvenir flex or a skin that holds premium purely on float—this one is utility-tier identity, not investment tier.

Editor’s aside

Industrial Snake Camo is the shotgun equivalent of a desert patch jacket: nobody gasps, but the right float makes the stencil pop just enough in third person. I’d rather overpay by a coffee for a inspect I love than chase 0.07 listings that look muddy in hand.
