Introduction

If you’re shopping a SCAR-20 that actually reads on inspect—not another flat recolor—the Enforcer (Gunsmith) from the Prisma 2 collection is the one people remember. It’s Covert in the case, dropped with the March 31, 2020 Prisma 2 wave (same batch as Clearing Out the Cobwebs), and it pulls from the Prisma 2 Case. Workshop author Andy leaned into part-by-part color blocks: handguard, barrel, and receiver each carry their own sunset band so the gun feels warm from afar but still “built” up close.

What you’re buying

  • Weapon: SCAR-20 — Enforcer
  • Finish: Gunsmith (segmented gradient, not one wash of orange)
  • Source: Prisma 2 Case → Prisma 2 collection
  • Wear: 0.00–1.00 (Factory New through Battle-Scarred all circulate)

The flavor line plays industrial sci-fi—automated kit from a symmetric smart-weapons outfit—which matches the clean, engineered fade layout more than a messy spray job.

Inspect & wear: where the money goes

Low wear is where this skin pays off. Gunsmith sunsets live on edge contrast and saturation steps; as float climbs, those transitions dull first—you lose the “layer cake” effect before the whole gun turns muddy. In-game, orbit the handguard–receiver seams: you want bands that flow without a harsh chop unless you like that broken look on purpose.

Same float tier can still differ slightly in where the gradient lands, so set your wear cap first, then compare listings side by side. Mythical-tier scarcity in the box means you won’t flood your inventory with these; that’s good for identity, less good if you’re hunting a perfect fade on a budget.

Shopping verdict

Worth it if you main or meme SCAR-20 and want a Covert that survives inspect zoom. Skip or go budget float if you only need a placeholder—BS Enforcer often reads like a tired tan rifle with little of the sunset story left.

Where to buy: track Prisma 2 Case lineage on C5GAME or Steam Market so you’re not overpaying for the wrong collection story.

Editor’s aside

Prisma 2 has flashier names, but Enforcer is the quiet Gunsmith flex: Andy nailed “sunset by component,” and for a cold-slot weapon that’s rare. Pair it with other Prisma 2 pieces for a shelf set, or one low-float pick for loadout rotation—just don’t expect every float to paint the same sunset.
