Introduction

Shopping verdict

Worth a look if you want a story-forward, hand-painted shotgun from the early Chroma wave—not another geometric skin. Skip or go budget if you need factory-fresh wing edges on the cheap; this caps at 0.5 wear and high floats will blur the figure fast.

What you’re actually buying

This is weapon | Serene Wings (祥和之翼), mythical, Chroma Collection, custom hand-painted finish. It landed 8 Jan 2015 with the Full Spectrum update and the Chroma Case—one of the more talked-about illustrated Sawed-Offs in that case pool. The official pitch is blunt: the whole gun is painted around a woman with spread wings, figure plus wings as the composition—not stacked decals or industrial overlay.

Wear runs 0.0–0.5. That ceiling matters: this isn’t a “any float still reads” skin. The wings and body lines are the inspect focal point; push toward ~0.5 and you’re trading narrative detail for price.

Serenity is a luxury for the few — Valeria Jenna

The name reads “serene,” the piece feels more like stance and identity than calm—especially with that line. Designer SerQ (workshop author on launch day) leaned illustration and narrative, off the geometric camo trend of the same era.

Inspect like a buyer

Pop Inspect in Game and move barrel → grip → stock. Note where the paint sits on each segment. Side-by-side a ~0.0 sample with something near 0.5: watch wing edges and the figure outline—that’s where blur shows first.

Because the Chroma Case is old, supply moves through resale. On C5GAME or Steam Community Market, filter by wear tier before you compare prices; double-check collection tag and float band match how you plan to show it.

Expert chatter

SerQ’s Sawed-Off is a pocket-sized poster on a gun that barely gets screen time—which is half the charm if you’re a loadout storyteller. Mythical in Chroma means you’re not chasing knife-tier hype, but you’re also not drowning in duplicates. If “clean wings at minimum cost” is the goal, set a float ceiling and walk away from listings where the silhouette already looks chalky. If you like the Valeria quote energy, a mid-tier float that still reads in third person can be the sweet spot between wallet and vibe.
