The latest Counter-Strike 2 update addresses map gaps, reworks camera system, and introduces chat encryption in demos.

The latest Counter-Strike 2 update has brought several significant changes to the game. Map-wise, the Cache update has fixed various gaps, corrected a wallbang spot on the B site, and added a missing competitive CT spawn point. Additionally, new T spawn points have been introduced to enhance the gameplay experience. On the UI front, the CSPlayerCamera has been rebranded as CustomPlayerCamera, with new functions such as GetPlayer, GetMode, SetMode, and SetFollowConfig added. Deprecated functions like IsEnabled, SetEnabled, and SetIsControllingAngles are no longer in use. A new 'observable' property has been introduced to custom_hud_layout, controlling the visibility of UI for observers. This update also addresses bugs related to the custom_hud_layout state when changing spectator targets. The top-level custom_hud_layout classes are now driven by client state, with dedicated classes for HUD_BUYMENU_VISIBLE and HUD_SCOREBOARD_VISIBLE. Lastly, chat encryption has been implemented in demo files, following the same rules as CS:GO, making team chat unreadable during playback and global chat readable only via the in-game watch UI.
